Nestled in the heart of Alexander Valley in California's Sonoma County, Starlite Vineyards has been crafting exceptional European-style wines since 2003. Our journey began with the acquisition of our property in 2001, and we launched our winery with our signature Claret Style Zinfandel.
Our 6 acres of vineyards are planted on a hilltop to maximize fruit ripening. Block 1 was planted to Zinfandel in 1998, Block 2 to Cabernet Sauvignon in 2002, and Block 3 to Viognier in 2008. Our vineyards are planted at 6 feet apart row-to-row and 2.5 feet apart vine-to-vine, making them among the most densely planted vineyards in California.
It is this condensed planting that produces the remarkable intensity in flavors and colors that define our wines. Our wines have periodically received ratings of 94 points from The Chicago Wine Institute, a testament to our commitment to excellence.
